It’s finally ready, something that’s been simmering for a few years. From Darkness: The Space Helmet Paintings 2010-2015 is a compilation of over 40 works that make up the meat of this series beginning with strictly black and white with just the male and female characters, then the addition of color and animals.
It feels so satisfying to have all these in one place. The completion of these paintings were so spread out it’s interesting now to see the story that evolves when viewed in this consolidated format. At 5.5″ x 8.5″ and sixty pages it’s halfway between a book and a zine and includes a short foreword by me as well as some behind the scenes photos at the end. The first run will be shipped in special packaging.
